Nightstand Central Free (14.3 MB)
The Nightstand Central Free app is user friendly. It will continue working if the
screen is locked and even if the device is sleeping. This app allows alarm sounds,
adjustable snooze time, wallpaper displays, and the ability to set multiple alarms
on different days and include the weather conditions.
Stanza (10.0 MB)
Stanza gives format options for reading books including CBR, PDF, DjVu, ePub, CBZ,
and eReader, allowing users to set layouts, controls, and appearances. An added perk is
users can receive books saving them to their libraries, easily and free from many
sources including Feedbooks and Project Gutenberg.
iBooks (15.3 MB)
The iBooks app works with PDF and ePub formats. After downloading, users can read books,
and with a tap or a swipe are able to turn pages. Some of the features are search functions,
bookmark, screen brightness, landscape and portrait modes, sepia colored or white pages,
font size settings, and the ability to add notes to favorite pages.

For the Kindle app there isn’t an in-app bookstore, but there is no better app to
read Kindle books with. You can choose landscape or portrait mode, sepia colored, black,
or white pages with the capability to adjust brightness and font sizes. Also allowing
Wikipedia links, word lookups, Google links, bookmarks, notes, highlights across devices,
and syncing the last page read.

The Comics app provides access to a large library of comics, with more than 500 comics,
that can be downloaded for free. It also allows a reader Guided View Technology
with the ability to zoom in on any panel.
Evernote (11.7 MB)
The Evernote app lets you take pictures, ideas, recordings, and notes with the iPad, and
instantly link them to a Mac, PC or Web version. Evernote makes searching for text easier
by actually recognizing the text within the pictures, in addition to indexing all notes.
Merriam-Webster Dictionary HD (21.0 MB)
The Merriam-Webster Dictionary HD app provides example sentences, antonyms, synonyms,
definitions, and it’s all available offline. When online you can speak a word to start a search.
